Your wedding cake is the focal point of your wedding reception.
Wedding cake designs are endless.
We offer expert advice to create the perfect wedding cake, whether you are looking for a traditional fruit cake, sponge or chocolate cake. If you are considering a simple one-tier, three or more tiers, a classic design; somethng wacky, then speak to us.
If for religious or dietary requirements you require a specialised cake, we can also provide eggless cakes and cakes for vegetarians and vegans.
The following points should be considered when making a
decision on your wedding cake.
- How much do you want to spend - do you have a budget?
- Do you want a traditional wedding cake shape - round or
square cake? There are many other shapes, i.e. heart, hexagonal,
petal, which can be a little bit more expensive
- Do you want to incorporate a colour into your icing. e.g.
to complement your flowers or the colour of the bridesmaids'
dresses
- How do you want to display your wedding cake. Tradition
pillars or stacked (one cake on top of the other) or utilise
one of the many stands available to hire for a small cost, plus refundable deposit
- Our cakes are individually designed to your requirements.
You may already have an idea or picture. We will be happy
to quote you
- Whilst sugar and artificial flowers add an exquisite finishing
touch to your wedding cake you may wish to have something
different such as fun caricatures or a bride and groom -
discuss this with us
- More and more couples are requesting a combination wedding
cake e.g. sponge/madeira for one or more tiers with the
fruit cake being the bottom tier, as opposed to all fruit
cakes. It is possible to have an all sponge/madeira wedding
cake, although some coverings such as royal icing and certain
side designs are not possible on this type of medium. Further,
sponge/madeira wedding cakes yield half the portions to
that of a fruit cake
- Many new wedding cake techniques and ideas are emerging.
